Intergrated Pest Management (IPM)

by 1300PestControl on April 23, 2010

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that takes into consideration a combination of pest control strategies, not solely chemical control through the use of pesticides. IPM programs combine the 3 key areas to come up with a best practice approach to Pest Management.

Chemical Pest Control
Physical Pest Management
Biological Pest Management

Information on pest life cycles and pest interaction with their environment is taken into count prior to implimenting pest control methods so as to manage pests & their damage both economically and with minimal effect to people, property, and the environment.

The IPM approach can be applied to all environments from agricultural to commercial & industry to the home & garden.
